Shen Quan (1682-1765)
Nanping by style name,Hengzai by sobriquet,a native of Deqing, ZheJiang province,was a painter of the Qing dynasty. He was skilled in painting flower-and-bird and beasts, influenced by the flower-and-bird painters Bian Jingzhao and Lu Ji of the Academy of the Ming dynasty, laying stress an reality, executed in distinct form. He was hired in Japan, then came back three years later. His paintings were fashionable at a time,and there were a lot of students following him.
